Cebu… do you want to be FAIR?

The Fair Trade Shop Cebu and the Global Xchange Team 107 are choosing to be FAIR.

This August, their unified statement is- “I want to be FAIR, do you?”

The Fair Trade Shop Cebu will be celebrating its first year anniversary this coming August 8. As part of the celebration, the shop will be launching the “I want to be FAIR” campaign.

The campaign aims to inform and to mobilize the public about the Fair Trade advocacy and how it helps in eradicating social inequalities especially in business and trade.

The full campaign ads as well as the campaign launch will all happen this August 8 at The Fair Trade Shop Cebu office Room 102 Jose Martinez Building, Osmena Boulevard, Cebu City. A big product sale will also take place in the said event.

Successful Opening for Fair Trade Shop Bohol

The partnership of The Advocate of Philippine Fair Trade, Inc. (APFTI), Bol-anon United Sectors Working for the Advancement of Community Concerns Incorporated (BUSWACC Inc.) and Peace and Equity Foundation, Inc. (PEF) has made the dream of putting up a venue for Fair Trade products from the province of Bohol come true.

The Fair Trade Shop Bohol located at door 1 SUM Building, 29 San Jose St. Cogon District Tagbilaran City formally opened last Friday, 23 July 2010.

The Fair Trade Shop Bohol features healthy food products like fresh or salted oysters, cookies, ube polvoron, ube powder, and high-quality craft products like bags, table runners, decorative shells, handmade paper, and baskets made from the province. The best Fair Trade products–fashion accessories, home decors, food items—from all parts of the country are also available in the shop.

Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines President Ms. Maria Cecilia Alcantara, APFTI National Project Coordinator Mr. Danilo Ocampo and PEF Executive Director Ms. Veronica Villavicencio cut the ribbon to formally open the FT Shop Bohol.

The Fair Trade Shop Bohol located at Door 1 SUM Bldg., 29 San Jose St. Cogon District, Tagbilaran City will have its grand opening on Friday, July 23 at 3pm.

In partnership with Bol-anon United Sectors Working for the Advancement of Community Concerns Incorporated (BUSWACC Inc.) and Peace and Equity Foundation Inc. (PEF), the shop will become the fourth store in the Fair Trade Shop Philippines network.

Fair Trade Shop Naga Opens!

ftshop nagaCongratulations to the Fair Trade Shop, Naga for having a fun-filled and successful grand opening last June 28! Bicolano consumers can now purchase Fair Trade products and Bicol Best products from the shop located at the 4th Floor, Nagaland E-Mall, Naga City.

In partnership with Bicol Best Producers Association (BBPA) and the Great Women Project, the shop will be a hub for Fair Trade and Bicol Best products and function as a Bicol business enterprise showroom, training and development center.

These are but some of the high-quality Fair Trade products that are available in the shop.

The shop joined The Fair Trade Shop, Cebu and The Fair Trade Shop, Cagayan de Oro and became the third store in The Fair Trade Shop Philippines network.

Register at The Fair Trade Shop, Cebu – Door 102 Jose Martinez Bld, Osmena Ave (near Maybank)
Registration Fee: P250 (inclusive of t-shirt and goodies, race number, and route map)
Registration opens on April 12 to May 12.  Race kit collection from May 18.
Late Registration May 13-15, Registration Fee of P300.
